Yamaha LLX6A Acoustic Guitar Review
Written by admin on August 25, 2009 – 4:34 am -How good can a non-cutaway electro be at this price? Dave Durban, Guitarist Unlike cutaways, there's not as large a selection of non-cutaway electros and, attracted to the style, we wondered if we could get a high quality guitar of this type without going into four figures. Yamaha has just such a contender: the LLX6A. The LLX6A marks the entry-point into Yamaha's prestigious LLX electro range. Models LLX26 and LLX36 represent the top-end of the series, with the LLX36 coming in at a whopping £3,779. But this is no low-end, entry level guitar – on first impression the LLX6A certainly had us admiring its seemingly flawless Chinese construction and expensive aesthetics. It's easy to see why – Yamaha's Chinese facilities share similar construction... more

Many suggested that they would find it beneficial towards their guitar playing if a metronome could be used while they were practicing. The metronome is a great instrument that makes repeated clicking sounds at an adjustable pace and are very useful tools in marking the rhythm of a song! I did some research and found an online site that has a FREE metronome that our valued customers are able to make use of. Check it out at http://www.metronomeonline.com Bookmark on Delicious Digg this post Recommend on Facebook share via Reddit Share with Stumblers Share on technorati Tweet about it Subscribe to the comments on this post Read More →

Although a Dave Murray Strat has been sporadically available via Fender Japan for a while now (the HST-57DM), this new US-built model – based on Murray's original guitar that, in turn, was previously owned by Paul Kossoff – is on sale across the globe. Buying Your First Guitar Amplifier
Written by admin on July 6, 2009 – 3:46 am -By Dan Cross, About.com With so much attention focused on which guitars give you which sound, which guitars look the nicest, and which play the best, the lowly guitar amplifier is often ignored, especially by novice guitarists. Which is a big mistake for guitarists looking to find a great sound. If you're considering buying your first amplifier, price will obviously be one of your primary concerns. Guitar amplifiers range in price from under $100, to multiple thousands of dollars. A common choice for first amplifiers are the very small and basic 15-watt amps such as... more

Tips on Buying Your First Guitar
Written by admin on June 14, 2009 – 5:18 am -by Dan Cross Electric vs. Acoustic “Which is better to learn on… an electric guitar, or an acoustic guitar?” The answer to that question, despite what many would lead you to believe, is a little more complicated than “electric is best”, or “acoustic is best”. To find an answer for this question yourself, let’s begin by learning a little bit about both electric and acoustic guitars, and what makes them different. Acoustic Guitar This is the instrument most people think of when they think “guitar”. An acoustic guitar is hollow, and almost always has a “sound hole” - a round hole in the face of the guitar. Acoustic guitars almost always have six strings. When you strike the strings of an acoustic guitar, the instrument... more
